We are so grateful to share our craft with you. What began as Caleb's personal journey from Seoul to Melbourne has grown into something bigger. Every day, we're humbled by the opportunity to serve the community and continue learning in this beautiful art of coffee.

Our inspiration

Melbourne's incredible coffee culture is an inspiration for us. The city's dedication to quality, the passion of its baristas, and the discerning palates of coffee lovers created an environment where excellence could truly flourish.

Surrounded by such great coffee, we felt inspired to contribute our own perspective bringing together quality training, global experiences, and love for the craft. That's what led us to start Tone a place where we could share that passion with the community.

Our journey

Caleb started his coffee journey in 2008, learning from talented baristas and spending countless hours practicing. He was fortunate to have mentors who encouraged him to keep improving and exploring the craft.

In 2015, we were incredibly honored when Caleb won both the Australian and World Latte Art Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since then, he's been privileged to serve as a WCE-certified judge and share what he's learned with coffee communities around the world.

At Tone Coffee, we try to bring that same care and attention to every cup. We're still learning every day, and we're grateful to share this journey with you.

The Tiger Bomb

The Tiger Bomb combines carefully pulled espresso with milk, silky cream, and a bright finish of fresh orange zest. It's become something our customers often ask for, and we're touched by how much people have embraced it.

We pour the same care into this drink that Caleb learned through years of training. Each element is considered, each pour made with attention and respect for the craft.

Our spaces

Our Prahran café at 121 High Street and North Melbourne at 653 Queensberry Street is made to welcome everyone. With natural light, comfortable seating, and a spacious interior, we hope it's a space where you can work, meet friends, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with good coffee.

We love our outdoor seating area where you can relax with a pet while enjoying your drinks. Whether you're here for a quick morning coffee or want to stay a while, we've done our best to create a comfortable environment.

Caleb's been privileged to work with coffee communities around the world as a WCE-certified judge and consultant. We bring those experiences back home to Melbourne, blending what we've learned with the incredible local coffee culture.
